The COVID-19 pandemic presented unprecedented challenges, but with the support of our donors and volunteers, we rose to the occasion. Our relief efforts touched thousands of lives across Mumbai's most vulnerable communities.

Food Distribution Efforts

We distributed over 550 meals daily in Dharavi and Worli areas, ensuring that families didn't go hungry during the lockdown. Our 72-day sustained effort provided consistent support to those in need.

Medical Support Initiatives

From arranging life-saving heart surgeries to facilitating Remdesivir injections during severe shortages, we provided critical medical support.

  • Life-saving heart surgery for Ganesh Masam (₹4.5L value)
  • Cleft palate surgery for 8-year-old Muhammad Shifan (₹60,000)
  • Emergency Remdesivir supply during nationwide shortage
  • Free ambulance and cab services for COVID patients
  • ₹90,000 discount negotiated on hospital bills

Support for Vulnerable Communities

We specifically focused on supporting sex worker families in Kamathipura, providing essential supplies to 1,200 families:

  • Grocery kits with 15-25 days of supplies
  • Sanitary pads and hygiene products
  • Sanitizers and immunity boosters
  • Emergency financial assistance

Special Interventions

Our volunteers went above and beyond, including performing dignified last rites for a COVID-positive suicide victim when her own family refused, and arranging emergency hospital admissions for critical patients.
